FUE Hair Transplant Procedure
Often described as a minimally invasive procedure, FUE technique involves procuring individual follicular grafts from the donor’s area of the scalp and implanted into the recipient’s area of the hair loss using
a tiny surgical needle. It is an out-patient procedure meticulously crafted under the influence of local anaesthesia to prevent pain. The procedure begins with shortening of hair at the donor site followed by
extracting grafts one by one to avoid opening and dilutions. Once the extraction process is finished, the healthy grafts are separated and kept in rows. As per the patient’s facial shape, a front cut line is
determined, channels are opened and then the grafts are implanted into them. The number of grafts required will vary from patient to patient. The operation will last for 6-8 hours and the patient can leave the
hospital the same day. There is very little or negligible pain involved while harvesting the hair follicles. And, once the procedure is done there are no visible signs of any stitches or scars on the head. The
best part about the FUE transplant technique is that any part of the body bearing hair can be contemplated as a donor site..
